I build software that
has to keep working.

I’m Simon Soka, a software engineer from Slovakia with 11+ years in production systems. I started in .NET and enterprise software, then moved through security, financial infrastructure, government systems, high-throughput C++ backends and modern product development.

I have worked on Mastercard payment systems in Denmark, credit-data software used by financial institutions, a national customs-administration upgrade, and a C++20 mining backend supporting more than 10,000 active miners across 5+ continents.

I also build products end to end. I founded Evolved and built its e-commerce stack from scratch: storefront, SSR, payments, webhooks, invoicing, shipping, data, infrastructure, security, SEO and analytics. Alongside it I built a GEO/SEO analytics SaaS and open-source AI tooling.

Since 2025 my workflow has been AI-native: Claude Code, custom MCP servers, LLM APIs and automated review/test loops. The point is not to generate more code. The point is to move faster while keeping the habits that production systems need: tests, architecture, observability and disciplined rollouts.

Better Call Simon exists because availability is a real engineering problem. Small teams do not always need another full-time hire; sometimes they need one senior engineer who can pick up the hard problem right now.
